This Privacy Policy explains how the Nutrition Assistant mobile application (“Nutrition Assistant”, the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, retains, and protects your information. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

With your explicit permission, Nutrition Assistant reads the following data from Android Health Connect:
This data is read only to display your daily activity and calorie information inside the App. Nutrition Assistant’s use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Health Connect data for advertising, and we do not sell it. You can revoke Health Connect access at any time from the Health Connect settings on your device.

We rely on the following third-party providers, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
Your account and app data are stored on Google Firebase servers and protected by database security rules that restrict access to your own authenticated account. Data is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We retain your personal information only for as long as your account remains active and for as long as needed to provide the App’s features.
Nutrition Assistant is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including on Google’s infrastructure. By using the App, you consent to such transfer in accordance with this policy and applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
