This policy describes how the Aquli app (“Aquli”, the “App”, “we”, “us”) treats information on your device. It applies only to Aquli. It does not apply to other apps from the same developer.
Aquli is a hydration log. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice.
Aquli does not ask you to create an account. The drinks, goal, and settings you enter are saved in a database on this phone. We do not upload that database to a server we operate.
| Category | What is stored | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Optional name, weight, height, and activity level | A daily drink goal, if you choose to use one |
| Drink log | Drink type, amount, and time | Show today’s progress, history, streaks, and insights |
| Goal and reminders | Your goal, reminder hours, quiet time, and related settings | Remind you on the hours you choose. Reminders are scheduled on the device. They are not sent by a push server. |
| Other settings | Language, theme, sound, vibration, containers, exercise minutes, challenges, and achievements | Run the features you turn on |
| On-device notes | Short event names, such as that a screen was used, if that local log is left on | Kept in the same on-device database. They are not sent to an analytics service. |
A home-screen widget, if you add one, reads the same on-device log so it can show today’s progress. It does not send that log off the phone.
You can export a copy of your drink history as a file on this device, or copy it to the clipboard. That copy leaves the app only if you choose to share it.
Weather is off until you turn it on. If you leave it off, Aquli does not request your location and does not contact a weather service.
Your name and drink log are not included in those requests. The temperature is then saved on the device. Open-Meteo processes the request under its own policy: Open-Meteo terms.
Aquli shows a banner and, at some moments when you leave a screen, a full-screen ad. Advertising is provided by:
Those partners may receive or collect an advertising identifier, IP address, device information, and information about the ad shown. They use that information to deliver and measure ads, under their own policies. Aquli does not sell your drink log or profile to them, and it does not send your drink history with an ad request.
You can reset or limit your advertising identifier in your device settings (on Android: Settings, Privacy, Ads, or the equivalent on your phone).
Aquli AI Coach answers a fixed list of questions from the drinks saved on this phone. You do not type a free-form message. The answer is produced on the device. It is not sent to a remote generative model.
Drink logs are stored locally on your device. Requests to Open-Meteo and to advertising services are sent over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
